The Designations
Three levels. One standard.
The Institute confers three professional designations. Each represents a different stage in a practitioner's relationship to the standard — from commitment, to demonstrated competence, to recognized leadership.
Level I · Active
Ethical Finance Practitioner (EFP).
What it is. Foundational professional designation. A formal commitment to ethical conduct in financial decision-making, supported by demonstrated ethical literacy.
Who it's for. Practitioners across the financial-decision spectrum — bookkeepers, controllers, analysts, advisors, allocators, auditors, treasurers, CFOs, and anyone whose work involves the stewardship, allocation, recording, or oversight of financial resources. The EFP is defined by ethical condition, not technical function.
What you do. Complete the application, verify your identity, sign the Statement of Ethical Background, and pay the application fee. Then sit the Ethical Finance Competency Assessment when you are ready. On passing, you affirm the Integritas Oath and are conferred.
What it costs. $195 standard. $95 student rate (current Candidates and recent graduates).
Annual renewal: $75. A bridge rate of $35 is available for the first two years following the Institute's launch.

Level II · Launching 2027
Chartered Ethical Finance Practitioner (CEFP).
The CEFP is the Institute's flagship professional designation. It is a demonstrated-competence credential, conferred only after a two-part proctored examination, verified professional experience, and ongoing adherence to the Code. The CEFP launches in 2027. A standing list of interested practitioners will receive notice as the registration window opens.
Level III · By Conferral
Fellow, Order of Ethical Finance Practitioners (FOEFP).
The FOEFP is the Institute's highest recognition, conferred by the Order for sustained leadership and contribution to the standard. Fellowship is not available by application. It is awarded by the Board of Standards and Ethics following nomination and review. The Fellowship will be inaugurated approximately five years after the Institute's launch, with intentional capacity limits.
