For Employers
Integrity, verified.
An EFP on staff is a governance asset hired against an external standard, not an internal claim. For firms whose conduct risk is real and whose audit committees ask hard questions.

What an EFP on staff gives you.
External verification.
Every active designation is third-party verifiable through the public Practitioner Registry. Status (active, suspended, revoked) is current and visible.
Enforced conduct.
Members are bound to the Institute's Code of Ethics under the Board's enforcement authority. Disciplinary outcomes are public.
Defined scope.
The EFP credential applies across the financial-decision spectrum. Bookkeepers, controllers, analysts, and CFOs are all within scope — measured against the same ethical condition.
How firms engage.
The Institute is in early operations. Firm engagement in v1 takes three forms:
Hire to the standard. When sourcing for roles where conduct risk is material, include the EFP designation in your job posting and verify candidates through the Registry. We do not charge firms for verification.
Sponsor employee candidacy. Cover the application fee for staff seeking the EFP designation. Volume arrangements (10+ candidates) are available — contact partnerships@ethfin.org.
Co-design cohorts. Firms with internal compliance or audit functions may co-design cohort enrollment with the Institute's Registrar. This is most relevant for firms with 25+ candidates over a 12-month horizon.
The Institute does not sell certifications. It confers designations. The difference is the standard behind them.
